WHAT?

Since July 2023, we have been holding a monthly left-queer TIN table (regular’s table / meeting, called TIN-Tresen), alternating between Offenbach and Frankfurt am Main, which is open to new people who are transgender and/or intersex and/or non-binary. On these evenings we exchange ideas about queer and especially trans, inter, non-binary and gender non-conforming topics.

Our “TIN-Tresen” has nothing to do with us as a publisher / collective, so it’s not about books or anything like that (at least it doesn’t have to be ;)). And it is not moderated by us, there is no desired hierarchy. We “just” organize the space and welcome everyone who feels addressed by this text.

WHO?

The permanent organizing people so far are two GenX / Xennial people (white, 1 able-bodied and 1 disabled), who are both non-binary trans and big fans of queer TV series, queer politics and the great queer life. We are open to all people of legal age who are transgender and/or non-binary and/or intersex. Our aim is to exchange ideas with people who do not agree with the gender identity they were assigned at birth or people who live in some way outside of the gender binary. Or people who begin to question their assigned gender identity.

It is certainly clear that we view gender binary as a cultural phenomenon, but not as a biological fact. Our TIN table is not a “self-help group”, even though our personal experiences are or can always be a topic. But it doesn’t have to be about TIN topics at all. You can also simply talk to other TIN people about any topic here. We see our group as a political space to talk about important political or private issues (which are related anyway).

WHERE?

We meet in public bars or at events in Offenbach or Frankfurt, centrally and easily accessible in the respective city center. In addition to German, we can also offer English as a conversation language. (This initially only applies to Katja Ken and Sam. Of course, we cannot guarantee that other participants also speak English. It is certainly helpful if you understand a little German, but we always try to ensure that everyone can communicate with each other as well as possible.)

WHAT DAY AND TIME?

We only publish the dates online, but not the places where we meet. We would like to be able to plan how many people we can expect and, if necessary, reserve a table, so please register in advance. The time of our meeting is always 7 p.m.

Next date: Saturday, November 23rd, 2024. Please register by Friday, November 15th if you would like to be there.

JOIN!

If you are transgender and/or intersex and/or non-binary and would like to join us, please email us at tintresen@queer-pack.com. We will then tell you the place where you can meet us that evening and are looking forward to getting to know you!

We always publish the day of our next meeting on this website, but also here:

We also have a small, closed Telegram group. People can be included in this group if they have already been to a TIN table. If you would like to be included in the Telegram group, please talk to us personally about it when we meet.
